Trade 'online' rises 11% in Spain despite crisis

The transactions of goods and services over the Internet in Spain represented a turnover of 5.751 million euros in 2009, up 11% on the previous year, according to e-commerce últimoinforme published by the Telecommunications Market Commission. In the last quarter of last year, the volume of buying and selling through the network has increased by 26.1% to 1,574 million euros. Meanwhile, e-commerce transactions increased by 28.3% to about 22 million transactions. On the revenue side, purchases made from Spanish websites accounted for 53.7%, to 3,090 million euros.
