Compressor / decompressor files: 7zip In the days of MS-DOS, file compression talk was about the ARJ format. Later, Windows 95 and in our homes, reached the height of WinZIP, software that became the ZIP format into a de facto standard that almost everyone had installed on your PC, typically in shareware version and the annoying log message appearing every so often. Over the years have arisen new compression formats. So, we went from a WinACE WinZIP, and WinRAR there eventually, a powerful software that decompresses almost all formats known and have to flag their own format, RAR, with an excellent compression ratio. It was not until a few years ago, when I found a file with 7z to decompress could not when I was forced to seek an alternative and ended up on 7zip, compression software, to make matters worse, is free and open source. 7zip can open almost any compressed file, decompresses as ARJ, CAB, CHM, CPIO, DEB, DMG, HFS, ISO, LZH, LZMA, MSI, NSIS, RAR, RPM, UDF, WIM, XAR, Z and other based formats ...
